Thanks for all the great information. I’m just learning about diets, etc for renal disease

My 84-year-old mother has renal failure and is looking at dialysis. We don’t know yet if we’ll be going out for it, or it’ll be at home. She’s going to be checked (has scar tissue in her abdomen) to see if peritoneal dialysis is feasible. Right now we’re in the beginning stages, so there’s a lot of confusion right now.

I have just found out that I will be having to go on dialysis soon, and I am very worried about it. I have other health issues and I am not sure what to expect from all of this.So I think that the more I know the better disicions I can make. What I have learned so far has helped me a little. thanks

I am currently on dialysis, but I work full time. I am just now thinking that I want to do it at home instead of in the clinic. I would be able to keep working full time and my life would be better.
